Things never turn out as one expects; having a dream isn’t synonymous with achieving it in the shortest possible time. How does one survive knowing that inside, they no longer live? It feels heartbreaking, like a mother’s cry or constant fear.
Do you know tomorrow is the concert? Said a supposed friend. I preferred to ignore the fact so as not to reopen the wound, to peel back the skin; however, impulses spring up and not necessarily as one plans.
I left slowly, trying to control myself, but nothing is as you expect; I found a friend, a rock of strength and my support in uncontrollable moments.
What happened? He said in a serious tone, I told him what was happening to me. First he wanted to laugh, but then he realised it was serious, he hugged me and said: I’m here for you.
He comforted me, tried to offer solutions, but everything was already lost. Then, they bought pizza, it was another reason to be happy, and so we continued until break time was over.
It’s not necessarily about having so many friends, but about having enough to feel good. Value quality over quantity, you never know what might happen to you.
The class ended, I continued disheartened, I cried again, I went silent, I carried on with classes, I broke down and started again, I thought about life and asked myself again.
Who I am?
